This morning we set off to watch the pelican feeding on the foreshore. There were a billion people there!!!! Pelicans were cute though 🙂

We then headed off to do the Coastal Cliffs south of Kalbarri where we were treated to watching heaps of whales all along the coastline along with a large pod of dolphins. The whales were so cool to watch with lots of fin flapping and breaching going on.

After spending the whole morning admiring the coastal scenery, we headed to the pub for lunch which we have to say was a little disappointing. We thought it looked like the best place to eat in Kalbarri but I think we were wrong. After a quick change and rest for “G” back at the apartment, we headed out to the beach mid afternoon and hired a 4-person pedalboat. We all had a lot of fun, even more so when the boys were pedaling and the adults got to chill out. We pedaled across to the sandbar to have a look at that area before cruising around for a while watching the fish jump out of the water quite close to the pedalboat.

After returning our boat we spent the rest of the afternoon sitting on the beach with the boys building sandcastles and having fun in the water. We decided to head off and find some dinner, opting for takeaway pizza and pasta which we enjoyed back in the warmth of our apartment.
