What an absolutely freezing night, something we haven’t been used to over the past few months! It was so cold in fact that “G” got up in the middle of the night to put an extra blanket on the bed and “A” even had socks and a jumper on in bed! Thankfully, the boys doona’s were good and they didn’t seem to get quite as cold. As it was still quite chilly in the morning, everyone found it a bit hard to get out of bed.
When we eventually got going, we headed into town to go to the local markets which were a tad underwhelming. Even the food trucks weren’t really suited to the time of day that the markets were being held. We then popped to Woollies to stock up on groceries for the next week before we get home.
After delivering our groceries back home, we headed off to the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum. It was quite a good museum with a fantastic interactive section which the boys enjoyed, particularly the topographic sand station. We even went for a simulated ride for the Apollo 11 liftoff which was a bit of fun. We managed to fill in an hour or so at the museum before deciding we needed some lunch.

We headed back into town and after having a look around, we ended up at the Carnarvon Hotel for lunch where “G” had nachos and the rest had burgers which were all really good. By now everyone was a bit tired so we headed back to the cabin for a relaxing afternoon, the boys getting to have a bit of iPad time and “G” and “A” getting to have a nap and general chill out.
Tonight at the caravan park it is Gourmet Wrap night so we decided ‘whilst in Rome’! The sign says there is slow roasted lamb or butter chicken wraps so the boys have decided we are getting two of each and going to share. No doubt it will be another chilly evening so staying indoors sounds like a good plan!
