Exmouth (Day 2)

Not surprisingly, we had a sleep in and very slow start to the day today. Once we all eventually were fed and dressed, we walked across the road to the Ningaloo Aquarium and Discovery Centre. It’s a really well laid out centre with lots of information, a few small aquariums showcasing various marine life and a big aquarium loaded with stunning looking fishies.

Unfortunately, “R” is feeling a bit off again today – I think it’s just exhaustion from not eating much for the past few days and using up lots of energy yesterday. Consequently, it was back to the cabin for a relax. We had a chill out for a bit, leftovers for lunch and then went on a little drive to check out Exmouth a bit more. We visited the marina where the “rich” live, saw some nice looking yachts and a cool sailing boat. Next stop was the Town Beach and it was covered in Jellyfish both on and off shore. It honestly looked like the beach and the water had measles!!

We then checked out the town centre where the photographer who was on our boat yesterday has a gallery. His pictures and artwork are incredible – Gallery 6707 is his gallery and his name is Jess Hadden. Not only a really nice bloke but an incredible underwater photographer too! We ventured back to the cabin via the giant prawn.

Back at the cabin, “L” hired a pedal go-kart and took “A” for a spin around the caravan park though the “driver” did have to change a couple of times. He spent about an hour taking “A” and then “R” for little rides around the park before he was very hot and tired so we returned the go-kart and hit the pool instead. Both the boys jumped in for a very quick dip before “R” returned to the comfort of the couch 🙁

A bit more relaxing and reviewing all the photos from yesterday along with a couple of phone calls filled in the afternoon. For dinner tonight we got takeaway pizza, pasta and garlic bread from BBQ Godfather which was yummy. Now it’s time for bed!
