Lake Argyle (Day 1)

The young two were up early this morning whilst the elder of the family had a bit of a sleep in. After breakfast, we headed out to check out the Lake Argyle and Ord River and Dam area a bit more.

There are some incredible views in this area with a couple of lookouts to visit and of course a drive across the Dam wall. The power of the water coming out is amazing. We spent the morning looking at the sights and finding the odd quiet spot (ok, it’s not quiet at all, the noise of the water coming out of the pipes is a real roar) for the boys to practice their whip cracking.

By this stage it was time for lunch so we headed back to our cabin to make some sandwiches. The afternoon was largely spent relaxing, reading and the boys doing schoolwork with the odd trip to the pool dotted in between. This evening we are having another relaxing evening as we listen to the live music in the resort from the comfort of our deck enjoying some happy hour food before we think about dinner.
