Today is “R” & “L”‘s 12th birthday and part of the deal today is that it’s “yes” day which means “G” and “A” have to say “yes” to everything that is asked of them (within reason of course!!). The first request came last night when they asked to have a sleep in …. no problems with us at all!!!!

After a big sleep in for the boys, they awoke to FaceTime calls from their grandparents which they loved. We then headed out for a late breakfast to The Gorge Cafe where the boys enjoyed pancakes, “G” had bacon and eggs and “A” opted just for a hot chocolate having had Weetbix much earlier when she first got up. It was then time for a visit to the surf shops where the boys were treated to new jumpers and thongs as part of their birthday present.

Then it was time to hit the beach! We wandered down to the beach where the boys had lots of fun developing more Ninja courses and “L” built himself a sand lounge. It was really windy at the beach, so much so that even the boat hire people packed up as no-one was hiring any equipment. We lasted until early afternoon before calling it quits.

The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing at the apartment, with the boys having a bit of iPad time whilst half watching music videos. We still need to pack tonight as we are heading home tomorrow but first we are going to Finlay’s for a celebratory birthday dinner tonight.
