We had quite a leisurely start to the day as we didn’t have far to travel. After we finally all got up, dressed and had breakfast we loaded up the car before going for one final walk along the beach. It was another perfect day as far as the weather went so we were all a bit sad to leave.
On the road to Carnarvon with no stops on the way so quite a quick trip to get there, arriving just before lunchtime. We checked in at the caravan park but our cabin wasn’t ready (no surprise there!!) so we headed into town to have some lunch with a very stern warning to lock up our car from the caravan park lady. Needless to say, this made us a little bit edgy in town but turns out we really had no need to be as we didn’t see any signs of trouble. We stopped at the bakery to have rolls for lunch before going for a drive to check out the fascine and One Mile Jetty. Unfortunately One Mile Jetty is not open for you to walk along so we just had to admire the view instead.

Next, we went for a drive along Fruit Loop Drive to check out the orchards and popped into Bumbak’s to pick up some jam. As it was now after 2pm, we headed back to the caravan park to check in and unload. We then decided to pop on a quick load of laundry before ducking across to the IGA to get some milk for breakfast. We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at the caravan park and getting our washing done before stalking the Traveling Baker as soon as she arrived at the park as tonight was pie night. The boys had “Bloody Boring Beef”, “A” had the chicken and corn and “G” enjoyed the Ploughman’s Pie which was goat and leek. All the pies were absolutely delicious. As the weather was a bit cooler, we snuggled up in our cabin and watched a movie.
